A concept store with no
digital presence.

Oblak i Sunce is a curated multibrand kids and baby boutique in Podgorica — a carefully selected physical space carrying premium brands like BabyBjörn, Elodie, Done by Deer, Liewood, Stokke, Mushie, Cam Cam, Grech & Co, BIBS, and Oli & Carol. The store already had a recognisable visual identity: arch frames, warm terracotta tones, natural light, and the feel of a concept store — not a toy shop.

The problem was straightforward: none of that quality existed online. Parents outside Podgorica who had heard of Oblak i Sunce had no way to shop. The digital footprint was limited to social media — no catalogue, no order system, no way to reach a wider audience.

What the client needed wasn't an off-the-shelf template. They needed a digital experience that translated the warmth and curation of the physical store — one that could scale to 100+ products and 12+ brands without losing its visual cohesion, and that the store team could manage entirely on their own.

We treated this as a ground-up build — not a theme installation. Every page, every component, and every interaction was designed from scratch to reflect the warmth and intentionality of the physical store. The result is a 16-page e-commerce ecosystem with its own design language, its own content architecture, and its own tools for discovery.

Signature Feature

The Gift Finder — from decision paralysis to perfect purchase.

First-time baby gift buyers face the same problem everywhere: too many options, no clear path. We built an interactive Gift Finder directly into the homepage — the customer selects the child's age group (0–6m, 6–18m, 1–3y, 3+) and their budget (up to €30, €30–€70, €70+), and the system instantly surfaces the ideal gift from the catalogue with a personal note explaining why it's the right choice. No search, no filters, no friction. The Gift Finder statistically increases both conversion and average order value by removing decision paralysis at the browsing stage.

Arch-Framed Collections
The arch motif from the physical store becomes a core UI element — each collection (Newborns, Strollers, Toys, Feeding) has its own arch-framed card with a pastel background, custom pictogram, and hover animation. Visual language that bridges the physical and digital spaces.

Real-Time Cart & Free Shipping Bar
A slide-in cart drawer with an animated progress bar showing exactly how much is needed for free delivery — "Just €12.50 more for free shipping." A small UX detail that statistically lifts average basket size by 15–25%. No page refresh, no redirect.

Quick View & Wishlist
Customers can preview any product from the listing page without losing their scroll position — a modal with full product info and Add to Cart. Wishlist is stored in localStorage for guests and syncs to their account on login. Every product card carries a live heart-toggle.

Brand Hub & Brand Detail Pages
A dedicated hub for all 12+ partner brands — each with their own story page, values, and curated product showcase. Turning a product filter into a brand discovery experience builds trust with premium-conscious parents who buy by brand, not by search.

2-Step Checkout
Streamlined to two focused steps: contact and delivery, then payment and review. A visual progress indicator, guest checkout option, in-store pickup alongside home delivery, and order confirmation with ETA — the checkout flow that gets out of the way and lets the customer finish.

Self-Managed Admin Panel
Built on Payload CMS — the store team manages products, variants, orders, promotions, and the blog entirely without developer involvement. Drag-and-drop image upload, order status pipeline (New → Packing → Shipped → Delivered), customer database, and real-time dashboard analytics.

Next.js was chosen for its server-rendering capabilities — every product page, category, and blog post is fully indexed by search engines on first load. Payload CMS provides a flexible, self-hosted content layer that the client team can operate independently. Cloudinary handles all media — serving WebP and AVIF automatically, with responsive sizes and on-the-fly transformations keeping page weight minimal.
